1 cup green split peas, rinsed
1 Tbsp vegetable soup base
4 cups water
1 cup cream style corn
1/4 cup chopped onion or
1 Tbsp instant chopped onion
1/2 cup fresh chopped cilantro

Combine peas, soup base and water in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil.
Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 45 minutes or until peas are tender.
Stir in corn and onion and simmer for another 10 minutes or until onion is tender. Stir in cilantro jsut before serving.
