Flax-Oatmeal Cookies Print
1 cup butter or margarine
1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
2 cups flour
1/2 cup ground flaxseed
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
1 & 1/2 cups chopped pecans
1 cup chocolate chips

Cream butter and sugar unti llight and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla, beat.
Mix flour, oatmeal, flax, salt, baking powder and baking soda together. Stir into creamed mixture. Add pecans and chocolate chips. Mix until blended.
Form into 1 inch balls. Place on ungreased cookie sheet, leaving about 2 inches apart. Bake at 350°F for about 10 minutes.
Yields 72 cookies.
